SIMP ENTERPRISE EDITION 6.1 RELEASE

HANOVER, MD - Onyx Point, Inc. is delighted to announce the availability of a new licensed product, SIMP Enterprise Edition (EE) 6.1. This new edition of SIMP will enhance our existing security and compliance framework with additional operating system platform support, premium compliance standards, new graphical interfaces, and improved reporting capabilities. SIMP EE 6.1 is a licensed product that can be installed independently of SIMP Community Edition (CE), adding many additional components, tools, and Puppet modules. Existing CE installations can also be licensed to be converted to Enterprise.

We work closely with our customers and one of the biggest requests has been to include support for Microsoft Windows systems. In this first SIMP EE release we have added support for Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 R2, and Windows Server 2016. We will be adding support for additional platforms, domain controller configurations, and group policy integration in upcoming releases of SIMP Enterprise Edition.

We have also added a new subsystem to SIMP EE, the SIMP Compliance Engine (SCE), to control Windows and Linux compliance automation processes. The SCE allows for more fine-grained customizability of compliance settings so they can be better tailored to your operating environment and your organization’s requirements. This subsystem will become available to SIMP CE users in future releases.

SIMP EE includes new improvements to our SCAP Dashboard. Customers can now receive better feedback on failures and resolution requirements with the newly integrated SCE features.

We hope to provide our SIMP Enterprise customers with increased automation, management, and support to better control and audit your infrastructure.
